Australian Raven
I have so many questions for Ravens. Or Crows, as we commonly call them.
They have followed humans through history. From forest, to farm, to city. They can be dark and foreboding sometimes, but they command a certain level of respect, and always have.
No matter what I see a Raven doing, I never doubt it. They could be picking apart roadkill or foraging through garbage, and still they command my respect. I never judge them, I just think to myself: "clever crow".
They have an incredible level of conviction in everything they do. I have observed their intelligence, street smarts, and problem solving. They're one of the only animals in the world to use tools - they will use a stick to get food out of a crack, for example. Everything they do seems so instinctive.
They've taught me that conviction is not false bravado. It is having a deep trust in instincts, without the fear of failing, or looking silly for not knowing how to do something straight away.
In different ways, we all have the qualities of The Raven within our instincts. We just need to trust in them.
Do you trust your instincts? Could trusting them more deeply give you greater conviction in the things you do? Could you trusting your ability to problem solve, give you more freedom to try new things?
