Kookaburra

The Kookaburra reminds me of the importance of laughter.

Laughter is medicine. Laughter is healing. Laughter is letting go. Laughter is remembering that we already know, that life doesn't need to be so serious.

And when we realise how empowering it is to compassionately laugh at ourselves, and the situations we find ourselves in, life gets a whole lot easier.

So we must never forget, that when Kookaburras laugh in the treetops, they're likely laughing at us, humans, and how funny we are. We get so caught up in our little passing trials and tribulations, our insecurities, and our daily inconveniences.

We are, by definition of the Kookaburra, a genuine laughing stock.

Is there something you've always been insecure about? Could learning to laugh about it make it less severe? Do you find yourself getting worked up by minor things? Could remembering to laugh at yourself help overcome them?
